I'm back to share some personal insights and practical tips on a topic that has been a significant part of my journey—emotional regulation. I want to take you through my own experiences, showing you how I've learned to regulate my emotions, and navigate life with ADHD, PCOS, depression, and anxiety, even in the stormiest of times.


As some of you may know, I stepped back from coaching at the end of 2021, a period of intense personal change that tested my emotional regulation strategies. I had to recalibrate after life threw some unexpected curveballs, including a surprise proposal and the ensuing whirlwind of wedding planning.


During this time, I've been deepening my understanding of adult ADHD, PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome), depression, and anxiety. It's been a transformative journey of self-discovery and emotional regulation. From organizing my life around these conditions to finding peace amid chaos, the lessons have been invaluable.


ADHD & Emotional Regulation: Staying focused and organized with ADHD is a daily battle, but I've harnessed the power of routines and habits. Setting up a structured daily schedule has helped me maintain emotional balance, a key aspect of emotional regulation.


PCOS & Self-Care: Managing PCOS symptoms has required me to pay extra attention to my diet and exercise. I've embraced a fitness routine that includes cycling and dance fitness, crucial for my physical and emotional regulation.


Depression, Anxiety, and Emotional Resilience: Therapy has been instrumental in my journey, teaching me how to recognize negative thought patterns and practice emotional regulation through mindfulness. The support I’ve received from friends and loved ones has been a cornerstone of my emotional well-being.


The Role of Fitness in Emotional Regulation: Physical

activity, from cycling to dance fitness, has been my sanctuary, offering both physical health and emotional regulation benefits. It's a daily ritual that fortifies my mental resilience.


Spirituality and Emotional Regulation: I've found solace and strength in my spirituality, with prayer and meditation becoming pillars of my emotional regulation toolkit. They remind me that I'm part of a larger tapestry, giving me perspective and calm.


Inspirational Content for Emotional Stability: I make it a point to engage with inspiring content every day. Whether it's a book, a podcast, or a motivational talk, these resources feed my soul and bolster my emotional regulation.


As I continue this journey, I've realized that true emotional regulation doesn't mean isolation. It means being surrounded by the right people, like my incredible husband, my friends, and my support network, who all contribute to my emotional equilibrium.


I'm sharing this slice of my life with you to express that while life's challenges are inevitable, emotional regulation is key to not just surviving, but thriving. It's about embracing our humanity, seeking support, and learning to show up for ourselves with grace and patience.


Remember, you are the greatest project you will ever work on. Take your time, love your life, tell people you love them, and embrace the adventures that scare you. Life is too short for regrets. Let's regulate our emotions to make our stories remarkable.
