Tea Tuesday: "May your head and heart speak with one voice."

Writer's picture: Crystal GlassCrystal Glass

When we're feeling stressed, it's easy to get caught up in our heads. We think about all the things we need to do or all the things that haven't gotten done; we worry about whether or not we're doing them right, and then we start thinking about how it's all going to turn out.

The tea bag is giving us a gentle reminder that our hearts are just as important as our heads when it comes to getting things done. When our head and heart are working together, they can help us see that there's more than one way to accomplish a task—and sometimes, there are multiple ways that will feel better and make us happier in the long run.

So today, try closing your eyes, taking a deep breath or two, and tuning into what your body wants you to do next. You might be surprised by what you hear!

My tea recommendations!

Pick a herbal tea for a clean, refreshing effect

1. Mint: reduces jitters and promotes mental clarity

2. Chamomile: calms anxiety and helps beat sleeplessness

3. Ginger: revs up energy levels and fights fatigue
